Soda and alcohol marketing is flooding social media at a scale that outpaces regulation—embedding brands into sports highlights, influencer content and viral moments that generate billions of impressions, according to two new AI-driven analyses from Vital Strategies’ Canary platform.

Vital Strategies has partnered with production company Greener Media on “You Deserve a Cure,” a three-and-a-half-minute animated video that provides helpful information about hepatitis C, dispelling myths and promoting prevention and treatment. 

Vital Strategies will serve as a key partner for the development of an artificial intelligence-driven resource to improve the assignment of causes of death in multiple situations. Under the Cause of Death Determination Ascertainment (CODA) project, a three-year Gates Foundation-funded initiative, Vital Strategies will coordinate the development, research and testing of CODA, leading a consortium of global partners.
