The IT Associate (Helpdesk Support) is responsible for supporting the daily IT operations of Vital Strategies, ranging from computer hardware to software, and thus has a direct impact on productivity of colleagues. The Manager, Latin America – Partnership for Healthy Cities will be part of an initiative that is aimed at empowering city governments around the world to improve noncommunicable disease (NCD) and injury prevention through high-impact policy interventions. The Manager will be responsible for project managing select cities in the region, including managing key stakeholder relationships, facilitating and coordinating technical assistance, maintaining regular communications, monitoring, and reporting on progress.

Vital Strategies is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Advisor (TA) to provide technical assistance to ministries of health and other key stakeholders in selected countries participating in the Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Data for Health Initiative. Major areas of technical assistance include: developing technical capacity of ministry staff to conduct policy-relevant data analysis based on existing vital statistics and survey data and advising on policies, procedures, and institutional structures to promote exemplary institutional data use. Technical assistance activities will include assessment and workplan development, consultation to ministry leadership, trainings for staff, etc. In addition, the TA will lead a technical area based on their area of expertise. This position is based in Singapore.

Program Officer – Expanding Medication for Opioid Use Disorder Initiatives, Michigan

Vital Strategies has partnered with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to strengthen its response to the opioid overdose epidemic. Vital Strategies will provide seconded staff to MDHHS to assist with access of medications for opioid use disorder. This position will be primarily responsible for executing and reporting on expanding access to agonist medications for opioid use disorder in the MDHHS opioids strategy, but also will assist with identifying and supporting new initiatives and opportunities that emerge through stakeholder engagement and interagency collaboration. Activities will include project management of priority initiatives, data collection and reporting, research, presentations, intra-departmental communication and coordination, and management and coordination with relevant external stakeholders.

The campaign manager will be dedicated to Vital Strategies’ work with STOP (Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products), a global industry watchdog. The Campaign Manager will drive integrated communication strategies aligned with campaign themes, with an emphasis on media relations, digital communications, stakeholder engagement and strategic advertising. The Campaign Manager will work closely with the Vital team on campaign planning, message development, announcement strategy, social media campaigns, digital marketing and event strategy.

The senior writer will be dedicated to Vital Strategies’ work with STOP (Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products), a global industry watchdog. The Senior Writer will ensure that content developed by STOP is easily understood. He/She/They will write for different audiences, adjusting style, voice and level of complexity as needed. The Senior Writer will revise material provided by experts and produce new, easily digestible material based off technical copy. Reporting to the Director of STOP, and embedded within Vital’s editorial team, he/she/they will ensure content is written along STOP brand guidelines and to approved style (AP).

The designer will be dedicated to Vital Strategies’ work with STOP (Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products), a global industry watchdog. Reporting to the Creative Director and embedded within Vital Strategies’ design team, the Designer will support all of the organization’s programs with an emphasis on STOP. With STOP, he/she/they will conceive, execute and manage design of digital-first materials that will help STOP engage and expand its audiences.

The social media coordinator will be dedicated to Vital Strategies’ work with STOP (Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products), a global industry watchdog.The Social Media Coordinator will be dedicated to STOP’s social media feeds. Reporting to the Content Strategist, he/she/they will plan social media content that aligns with STOP campaigns, and execute engagement strategies on a day-to-day basis based on breaking news or industry activity. The social media coordinator will also analyze social media analytics, develop reports and provide recommendations to improve engagement on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube platforms.
