Program Liaison – Police Assisted Diversion

The Program Liaison will coordinate stakeholder engagement and strategic planning to enhance the PAD Program as it expands to additional districts and incorporates a new Co-Responder Pilot in 2020-2021. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Diversion and Deflection in the City of Philadelphia’s Managing Director’s Office of Criminal Justice, the PAD Program Liaison will ensure that ongoing and future evaluation informs the PAD Program’s design and implementation, including any necessary amendments to the program’s governing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The Senior IT Manager is responsible for providing a seamless technology experience for Vital Strategies staff, globally. S/he will manage and lead an international helpdesk support team of staff and consultants, working directly with international Office Operations Managers to streamline IT service and support. The Senior IT Manager works closely with the IT team to optimize IT operations, enhancing business continuity and increasing the overall efficiency of the organization. MDHHS plays a critical leadership role in the state’s response to the drug overdose epidemic, including through partnerships with providers and community organizations to increase the use of medications for opioid use disorder.

Hospitals and emergency departments are a critical point of care for people impacted by substance use disorder (SUD) and overdose and provide an opportunity to connect patients most vulnerable to further drug-related morbidity and mortality to necessary medication treatment and supportive services in the community through a variety of best practices and promising approaches including linkages to certified recovery specialists and community-based providers of medications for opioid use disorder (OUD) through warm handoffs.

Data Impact Program Consultant, Francophone Countries

Vital Strategies is seeking a Data Impact consultant to provide technical assistance to national ministries of health and other key stakeholders in selected francophone countries participating in the Data for Health Initiative. Major areas of technical assistance include developing technical capacity of ministry staff to conduct policy-relevant data analysis based on existing vital statistics and survey data and advising on policies, procedures, and institutional structures to promote exemplary institutional data use. Activities will include assessment and workplan development, consultation to ministry leadership, trainings for staff in-person and via webinars. The consultant will work remotely and travel internationally to support in-country activities as needed. The position will be part-time (50%) with up to 20% of that time spent on international travel.

Data Management and BI Consultant, New York

Vital Strategies is seeking to hire a consultant to assist its financial team with the development of financial reports and dashboards using NetSuite and Power BI. This is a part-time consulting role (3 days a week) that will last for a four-month contract period, with the possibility of renewal (if necessary). The consultant is expected to come into Vital’s main office in New York and work with members of the finance team, one on one and in a group setting.

Vital Strategies is looking for a web designer to help expose how the tobacco industry is undermining public health around the world. The designer will be dedicated to Vital Strategies’ work with STOP (Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products), a global industry watchdog. The Designer will bring content to life using fresh, creative design. Reporting to the Creative Director and embedded within Vital Strategies’ design team, the Designer will support all of the organization’s programs with an emphasis on STOP. With STOP, he/she/they will conceive, execute and manage design of digital-first materials that will help STOP engage and expand its audiences.

The Grants Manager will be responsible for the contractual, financial and some of the reporting aspects of an assigned departmental portfolio. The Campaign Manager will drive integrated communication strategies aligned with campaign themes, with an emphasis on media relations, digital communications, stakeholder engagement and strategic advertising. The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) is seeking an intern for Summer 2020.
