Vital Strategies is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Officer – Justice-related Overdose Prevention Initiatives, seconded to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) in Lansing, Michigan. This position will be primarily responsible for executing and reporting on justice-related initiatives in the MDHHS opioids strategy, but also will assist with identifying and supporting new justice-related initiatives and opportunities that emerge through stakeholder engagement and interagency collaboration.

The Program Assistant will be supporting a program that engages cities around the world in improving their public health policies. The Program Assistant will provide administrative and organizational support related to the activities of the Program. This includes information management, coordination with the global team of project managers, and liaising with the Operations Officer and Grants Assistant to ensure the smooth operations of the program. The Program Assistant will report to the Deputy Director. The position is based in New York City. The Technical Advisor will lead technical assistance provision for much of the global CRVS projects portfolio of the GGP, including developing new and relevant outcome-oriented projects, planning and monitoring work plans, identifying external sources of technical assistance, and collaborating with Country Teams. S/he will be a part of the Global CRVS team working under the supervision of the CRVS Project Director with reporting to the GGP Director. This position is based in NYC.

Vital Strategies is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Officer, Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) Access in Jails and Prisons, Seconded to Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, located in Mechanicsburg, PA. The DOC is taking steps to implement access to opioid agonist treatment for persons in custody at state correctional institutions (SCI) for whom such treatment is medically appropriate. The program will begin as a pilot at a select number of facilities, and gradually expand to other facilities across the Commonwealth. Vital Strategies will provide seconded staff to the DOC to assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of the project.
