This campaign, supported by Vital Strategies and produced by El Poder del Consumidor, calls on Mexico to adopt comprehensive national fiscal alcohol policy.
The campaign makes a clear case that alcohol drives disease, road injuries and violence. These costs are borne by families and the public in general and far exceed taxes on alcohol. The campaign, which ran on social media and on buses in Mexico City, frame the issue as a choice between the public interest and commercial profits, and call on the government to protect the lives and well-being of millions.
