The ‘Smokefree family’ video was developed in partnership with the China Federation of Radio and Television Associations (CFRTA). It was adapted from Vital’s “Little Girl” video which first aired in Turkiye and originally focused on taxes.
This new China video encourages compliance with 100% smoke-free policy in public places and creation of smoke-free families by highlighting the impact of tobacco use on children. The purpose of the campaign is to increase knowledge of the harms associated with secondhand smoke exposure and promote compliance with smoke-free laws and regulations in China. The video was disseminated by the China CDC and CFRTA networks through television, mobile television, LED screens in buildings and across social media platforms from May to December of 2023.
