Around the Ethiopian New Year in 2018, Addis Ababa launched “It’s 30 for a Reason,” a speeding mass media campaign broadcast on television and radio and supported by posters throughout the city. The PSA shows the lifesaving effect of driving at 30 km/h in a residential area. The city’s traffic police stepped up speeding enforcement operations during this period.
