A Tool To Measure the Sustainability of National Tobacco Control Programs

The Index of Tobacco Control Sustainability (ICTS) assesses national tobacco control programs in 31 countries where tobacco harms are the greatest to determine how sustainable the programs are and to identify gaps that governments can close. The Index is a set of indicators—policies, structures and resources that are important factors for a sustainable national tobacco control program. The latest edition, published in February 2024 by Vital Strategies and The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, was developed in partnership with tobacco control experts in 31 countries.
