Community-level data in Lao PDR reveal an urgent need to expand screening and treatment for noncommunicable diseases. Through mobile clinics, workforce training and public engagement, Vital Strategies and partners are helping to close critical gaps in detection and care.

Over 60 health volunteers from Vientiane capital attended a health training led by Vital Strategies and the Lao Ministry of Health, where they learned about risk factors, symptoms and how to conduct community health screenings for NCDs.
