To support national governments in enhancing their outbreak surveillance and response planning, Vital Strategies has launched a new technical package to help guide governments in rapid mortality surveillance, informing decision-making based on the true impact of COVID-19 within their countries.

Staying Alert: Navigating COVID-19 Risk Toward a New Normal” recommends that governments implement a four-tiered, color-coded level system that grades the current state of risk from red, “4-Very High Risk,” to green, “1-New Normal.
