The campaign, along with Vital Strategies' new tagline, “Reimagine Public Health,” launched in October 2021 to galvanize support for public health as central to our everyday lives.

These data are an urgent call to action for government at all levels: we need to mount a massive public health response to overdose that centers harm reduction and support instead of criminalization and punishment for people who use drugs.  

The #CountingEveryone campaign puts a human face to leadership in critical health data systems, highlighting remarkable and measurable improvements across four countries where leaders have focused on improving health and governance data.

Data from five regions of the country shows changes in habits during pandemic increased risks for diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular and chronic respiratory diseases.

Vital Strategies and UNICEF were named winners of the World Health Organization Western Pacific Innovation Challenge: Innovation for the Future of Public Health, in the category of Healthy Environments and Populations, for their work on Children's Environmental Health Indicators.
