
Country Director – Brazil office
Selma Moreira is the Country Director of Vital Strategies in Brazil. Before joining the organization, she served as the Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Latin America at JP Morgan and was the Executive Director of Baobá – the Racial Equity Fund, Brazil’s first and only philanthropic fund exclusively dedicated to advancing racial equity for the Black population. She has built a distinguished career in corporate social responsibility and sustainability, with leadership roles at Walmart, Fundação Alphaville, and the Technology Incubator for Popular Cooperatives at Fundação Getulio Vargas (ITCP-FGV).
She is also an active contributor to civil society, serving on General Assemblies, Boards of Directors, and Advisory Boards of several nonprofit organizations. Selma holds a degree in Business Administration, a postgraduate specialization in Strategic Organizational Communication Management, MBAs in Social Management and in the Advanced Boardroom Program for Women, and is currently a Master’s candidate in Public Management and Policy at FGV-São Paulo.
