Nonprofit Finance and Management consultant
Mr. Ron Acker is a CPA with 40 years’ experience as a CFO, executive and consultant for not-for-profit social services organizations. His expertise is process engineering financial, management and reporting systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
Most recently Ron has been consulting as interim CFO for Children’s Aid Society and MQ Foundation after retiring in 2023 as CFO of the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Service. He has had CFO positions previously with the Jewish Child Care Association, Cardinal McCloskey Services, Rockland County ARC and UCP of Westchester. Ron worked closely with the Boards of these organizations and also served for three years on the Board of the Westchester County Alzheimer’s Association.
Before working in the not-for-profit arena, Ron began his career as a CPA doing tax work for small CPA firms and has maintained a tax practice for over 40 years.
Ron has a BS in accounting from the Binghamton University.
