Ukraine – Tobacco Control – Water pipes

Despite smoke-free ban in Ukraine, hookah smoking inside cafés, bars, restaurants remains an issue. This 2023 campaign emphasized smoking hookah harms your health.  A national survey conducted in November 2023 demonstrates that the campaign increased public awareness of the health risks of hookah.

The survey also registered increased support for smoke-free public spaces and demand for a stronger tobacco control regulation. The research findings underscored the youth as the primary audience for heated tobacco product advertising.
