For the 2022 Winter Olympics, Vital Strategies worked with the National Health Commission and the Beijing CDC to develop a media campaign advocating for smoke-free spaces and smoke-free policies.
The public service announcement is running on LED screens and mobile TVs across Beijing during the Olympics, as well as being distributed to other cities that are encouraged to utilize additional local resources such as social and mass media.
The PSA features Zhang Hong, who won the first-ever Chinese gold medal in speed skating during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and is regarded as a national hero.
