Dr. Siddhi Aryal to Lead Vital Strategies’ Asia Pacific Regional Hub

3 December 2020 (Singapore) – Vital Strategies, a leading global health organization bringing large-scale solutions to bear on the world’s most pressing health problems, today announced Dr. Siddhi Aryal will serve as Regional Director of the Singapore office, hub of the Asia Pacific regional work.

As the Regional Director, Siddhi will oversee the implementation of regional programs and lead strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts. A veteran public health practitioner, Siddhi brings with over 18 years of experience in South and Southeast Asia specializing in capacity building, health and development, disease surveillance, global advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation. Siddhi has covered a range of health and international development issues including HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, neglected tropical diseases and malaria elimination efforts.

As a trusted partner of governments and civil society around the globe, Vital Strategies has managed $131 million in worldwide programs touching more than 73 countries, with the goal of supporting governments rapidly adopt life-saving interventions and policies. Since 2017 the Singapore office has served as a regional hub for the Asia Pacific. Current programmatic efforts include responding to COVID-19, addressing critical environmental health issues such as air quality and children’s health, supporting civil registration and vital statistics, and improving road safety from India to Indonesia to the Solomon Islands.

Dr. Siddhi Aryal is the Regional Director for Vital Strategies Asia Pacific and leads strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts in the region. He also provides oversight and leadership to our Singapore team in their work implementing global programs. He is a trained public health professional with over 18 years of experience in South and Southeast Asia in designing, managing and implementing health and development programs in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
