84% of Black respondents have suffered racial discrimination in the country, according to a study that applied, for the first time at the national level, the Everyday Discrimination Scale, a tool developed to measure the perception of discrimination experienced by individuals in their day-to-day lives.

To ensure this trajectory continues, we must continue improving access and availability to prevention, care, and treatment, and invest in local partnerships to help eliminate disparities.

The campaign, led by Vital Strategies, a global health organization, is expanding the availability of naloxone in seven cities across the United States: Albuquerque, NM; Newark, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Durham, NC; Louisville, KY; Detroit, MI; and Milwaukee, WI.

The data comes from a study conducted by Vital Strategies and Umane, with technical partnership from the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) and support from Instituto Devive and Resolve to Save Lives.
