Renata Reis é Diretora Executiva de Médicos Sem Fronteiras (MSF) no Brasil, onde atuou anteriormente como Vice-diretora Geral. Também foi Especialista em Acesso Humanitário Regional (América Latina) em MSF-Bélgica e responsável por Advocacy e Relações Institucionais em MSF-Brasil. Foi coordenadora de projetos/Advocacy na Associação Brasileira Interdisciplinar de AIDS – ABIA, onde coordenou o Grupo de Trabalho sobre Propriedade Intelectual da Rede Brasileira Pela Integração dos Povos (REBRIP), que congregava 17 organizações da sociedade civil, por 7 anos.
É Doutora em Políticas Públicas, Estratégias e Desenvolvimento na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), com tese sobre Lobby no Congresso Nacional. Possui graduação em Jornalismo e Direito e mestrado em Políticas Sociais pela Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF), com sanduíche na Universidade Livre de Bruxelas (ULB, Bélgica). É professora de Advocacy e de Ajuda Humanitária no MAPI/ PUC-RJ. É membro do Conselho da CONECTAS Direitos Humanos e é membro da Task Force de Diplomacia e Saúde Global e Cooperação da Comissão LANCET Covid-19.

Renata Reis | Executive Director, Doctors Without Borders in Brazil
Renata Reis is Executive director of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Brazil, where she was also Deputy Director-General. She previously worked as Specialist in Regional Humanitarian Access (Latin America) for MSF-Belgium and was Institutional Relations and Advocacy Officer at MSF-Brazil. She was Coordinator of Project/Advocacy at the Brazilian Interdisciplinary AIDS Association, where for seven years she coordinated the Working Group on Intellectual Property from Brazilian Network for the Integration of Peoples, which brought together 17 civil society organizations.
She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policies, Strategies and Development at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with a thesis on lobbying at the National Congress. She holds degrees in both journalism and law and a master’s degree in Social Policy from the State University of Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro and Free University of Brussels through an interuniversity exchange. She is a professor of Advocacy and Humanitarian Aid at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, a member of the Board of Conectas Human Rights and a member of Task Force Global Health Diplomacy and Cooperation of the Lancet COVID-19 Commission.
