Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Vital Strategies has worked in Ethiopia since 2012, training medical and public health specialists on lung health and strengthening road safety before opening our Addis Ababa office in 2020. Located alongside the African Union, the office now supports food policy, data-driven public health decisions and civil registration across the region.
Jinan, China
Our China office, registered in Shandong Province since 2018, builds on nearly 20 years of partnership with the country’s public health sector. Working closely with government and local partners, the team advances policy solutions spanning environmental health to noncommunicable disease prevention.
New Delhi, India
Vital Strategies India, an independent affiliate of Vital Strategies established as a social enterprise in New Delhi in 2021, provides consultancy and strategic advisory services to Indian governments and institutions. The organization applies global expertise and local capacity to programs in noncommunicable disease prevention, road safety and public health data systems, reaching across South Asia.
New York, USA
Our New York City office connects locally-led work across more than 80 countries to the global institutions and funders shaping public health policy. As our largest office, it houses the technical experts and operational teams that support nearly every part of Vital’s global footprint.
São Paulo, Brazil
Since 2017, Vital Strategies’ São Paulo office has paired international public health expertise with local partnerships to advance policy on tobacco, food, alcohol, climate risk and violence prevention across Brazil. Working with seven federal ministries, one state and six municipalities, the office has contributed to wins including Brazil’s front-of-package warning labels and Ceará’s 2025 statewide ban on ultra-processed foods in schools
Singapore
Asia Pacific is home to 60% of the world’s population and some of its fastest-growing public health threats. Since 2017, our Singapore hub has facilitates learnings and operations for programs from Indonesia to the Solomon Islands.
