Vietnam – Tobacco Control – “Don’t let e-cigarette smoke cloud our future generation”

The Vietnam Tobacco Control Fund (VNTCF), with support from Vital Strategies, launched a nationwide media campaign titled “Don’t let e-cigarette smoke cloud our future generation” that aired from May 27- July 16, 2023.

The campaign was developed through extensive message testing research. The purpose of the campaign was to increase knowledge of the harms associated with e-cigarette use, particularly among youth, and to build support for the government to restrict the availability of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products in Vietnam. It was broadcast on prime-time television spots, displayed at the most popular cinemas across five major cities, and run on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok along with an earned media campaign.
