Tamar Renaud, MPH, is the Chief Operating Officer for Vital Strategies, where she is responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of the organization’s offices and work.
Renaud is a seasoned, multi-lingual, public health professional with 20 years of experience in managing health programs and organizations in the United States and abroad. She has particular expertise in integrating health programs to improve outcomes and increase efficiency. Achievements include founding a small non-profit for young people in Chiang Mai, Thailand, overseeing 12 primary care clinics based in homeless shelters and 3 Women Infant and Children (WIC) centers in New York City, and working on HIV/AIDS and mental health with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, UNICEF, and UNAIDS. She brings this expertise to managing Vital Strategies’ fast-growing global organization, which includes more than 400 employees and consultants around the world and our offices in New York (global headquarters), Jinan, Paris, São Paolo and Singapore.
Before joining Vital Strategies, Renaud was Senior Director of Community Health at NYU Lutheran Family Health Centers. Renaud earned her master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Brown University.
